Classes Overview

This is the full classes overview for World // Zero: every standard tier unlock and the Mastery endgame paths. Use it as a roster encyclopedia, then decide investments with Best Classes. Combat keys stay the same across classes — see How to Play — only skill identities change.

Unlock reminder: Tier 1 at level 1 · Tier 2 ~15 · Tier 3 ~35 · Tier 4 ~60 · Tier 5 after prestige · Mastery via long class quests (or optional Robux).

Tier 1 — Starters (Level 1)

Swordmaster

Dual-sword melee with good mobility and a gentle learn curve. Default recommendation for most new players on Getting Started. Evolves in spirit toward Dual Wielder.

Arcane Mage

Ranged arcane bursts, lower HP. Great if you already dodge well; punishing if you stand still in Crabby Crusade.

Defender

Greataxe tank starter with higher HP and slower swings. Ideal training wheels before Guardian.

Tier 2 — First real identity (~Level 15)

Dual Wielder

Swordmaster evolution. Fast multi-hit boss pressure, limited AoE, squishier than Guardian. Solid stepping stone, rarely a forever main.

Elementalist

Fire/ice status mage and Stormcaller seed. Lower base damage, elite DoT/status toolkit that stays relevant for Infinite leaderboard logic.

Guardian

Greatsword control tank and Starbreaker seed. Best early clear comfort for World 5 towers — CC, survivability, and forgiving mistakes.

Tier 3 — Mid ladder (~Level 35)

Paladin

Sword-and-board defense with healing utility. Near-immortal in pubs, low personal DPS. Bring when teaching friends.

Mage of Light

Support healer and Mage of Shadows seed. Party stability over damage charts.

Berserker

Rage-fueled melee carry. Huge DPS when gear and dodge timing align; volatile if you greed.

Tier 4 — Late mid-game (~Level 60)

Demon

Life-steal boss specialist and Necromancer seed. Weak at wide trash relative to Spirit Archer; intentional boss farmer.

Dragoon

Mobile spear DPS and Leviathan seed. Community mid-game favorite alongside Spirit Archer for bridging into endgame.

Spirit Archer

Bow cleaver and Hunter seed. Excellent mob XP farming and decent support utility; boss DPS trails pure Mastery nukers.

Tier 5 — Prestige classes

Warlord

Prestige AoE engine with consistent DPS. Excellent Infinite wave / gear farm candidate; merely “good” at pure bosses versus Necromancer.

Summoner

Prestige summon kit. Deletes elites/bosses, struggles on huge trash rooms. Niche specialist.

Shadowblade

Prestige burst assassin with aggro reset tools. Gear-hungry, smaller AoE, enormous single-target potential.

Mastery classes — endgame identities

Mastery quests are long on purpose (Infinite floors, Nightmare counts, thousands of high-level kills). Inspect the parent class in-game for live requirements.

Mage of Shadows (from Mage of Light)

High burst, strong AoE, status chains, longer cooldowns. Permanent S-tier long-term discussion member.

Necromancer (from Demon)

Scythe Mastery with elite boss and pack damage. Shares the overall crown with Stormcaller in most 2025–2026 writeups.

Hunter (from Spirit Archer)

Bow Mastery focused on Burn/Poison boss melts. Weaker pack clear — swap perks or parties accordingly.

Stormcaller (from Elementalist)

Lightning Mastery AoE monster. Best-in-slot vibes for XP farms and top overall/Nightmare lists.

Leviathan (from Dragoon)

Serpent/water spear Mastery for players who finished the Dragoon kill quotas. High melee ceiling when geared.

Starbreaker (from Guardian, January 2026)

Dual greatswords Mastery. Aggro Draw kill quests (or Robux) unlock the star-forged dealer kit — wide skills, high damage, lower tankiness than classic Guardian. Strong in standard endgame; monitor DoT classes on extreme Infinite HP sponges.

How to choose without FOMO

  1. Pick a fun combat fantasy you will actually play for dozens of hours.
  2. Confirm it is not D-tier for your goal on Best Classes.
  3. Gear and pet it via Dungeons Guide and Pets Guide.
  4. Level on schedule with Leveling Guide.
  5. Only then start Mastery counters.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers players ask every week.

How many classes are in World // Zero?

You have three Tier 1 starters, three classes per Tier 2–5, and multiple Mastery classes (Mage of Shadows, Necromancer, Hunter, Stormcaller, Leviathan, Starbreaker, with more possible over time).

When do I unlock Tier 4 and Tier 5?

Tier 4 around level 60 (Demon, Dragoon, Spirit Archer). Tier 5 (Warlord, Summoner, Shadowblade) comes after prestige progression.

What is a Mastery class?

A high-end evolution unlocked by completing long quests on a parent class — for example Stormcaller from Elementalist or Starbreaker from Guardian — optionally purchasable with Robux.

Which class should I unlock first after starters?

Guardian at Tier 2 is the most forgiving tower learner. Elementalist or Dual Wielder also work if you prefer mage or dual-blade fantasy.

Is Starbreaker a tank like Guardian?

No. Starbreaker keeps Guardian’s Mastery lineage but plays as a dual-greatsword dealer with much lower tank identity than base Guardian.

Where should I go after reading this overview?

Check Best Classes for S–B investment ranks, then Leveling Fast and Dungeons to unlock and gear your pick.
