Leveling Guide

Speed leveling in World // Zero is less about secret AFK spots and more about never idling on outdated content. This guide shows how to ride quests, dungeons, and towers to each class unlock gate, then into prestige Tier 5 and Mastery prep. Controls refresher: How to Play. Beginner checklist: Getting Started.

Class unlock milestones (memorize these)

GateApprox. levelWhat opens
Tier 11Swordmaster, Arcane Mage, Defender
Tier 2~15Dual Wielder, Elementalist, Guardian
Tier 3~35Paladin, Mage of Light, Berserker
Tier 4~60Demon, Dragoon, Spirit Archer
Tier 5PrestigeWarlord, Summoner, Shadowblade
MasteryLong questsMage of Shadows, Necromancer, Hunter, Stormcaller, Leviathan, Starbreaker

Every XP decision should answer: “Does this get me to the next gate faster?” If not, switch activities.

Phase 1 — Levels 1 to 15 (Tier 2 rush)

  • Clear all Crescent Cove quests before grinding one spawn.
  • Run Crabby Crusade / Kingslayer for gear so kills stay fast.
  • Hatch and equip a pet early (Pets Guide).
  • Redeem Codes so you are not missing freebies mid-session.
  • At 15, unlock Guardian (safe clear), Dual Wielder, or Elementalist based on taste — many XP routes favor survivable AoE.

Do not prestige fantasy yet. Just reach Tier 2 with upgraded weapons.

Phase 2 — Levels 15 to 35 (Tier 3)

Push World 2–3 quests the moment they unlock. Dungeon clears in the correct level band beat overworld leash camping. Swap to whichever Tier 2 class clears rooms fastest for you. Elementalist’s status kit can feel weak in raw numbers but strong for sustained fights; Guardian forgives mistakes while you learn new bosses.

Aim to arrive at ~35 ready for Paladin / Mage of Light / Berserker. Berserker rewards aggressive players with gear; Paladin/Mage of Light are training wheels if wipes are common in pubs.

Phase 3 — Levels 35 to 60 (Tier 4)

This is where players waste weeks. Avoid it:

  1. Always quest the newest unlocked world first.
  2. Then spam that world’s best XP dungeon until the next world opens.
  3. At World 5, pivot hard into towers — Prison Tower and successors are designed as the mid-game engine (Dungeons Guide).

At ~60, unlock Dragoon, Spirit Archer, or Demon. Community mid-game advice often highlights Dragoon and Spirit Archer as the bridge into late game — Spirit Archer especially for mob XP farming, Dragoon for mobile DPS. Confirm with Best Classes.

Phase 4 — 60 to 100+ (towers and Infinite prep)

  • Main your world tower each time you enter a new band (Atlantis → Mezuvian → Oasis → Aether → Arcane).
  • Keep gear updated; a class alone will not carry outdated weapons.
  • Level pets in parallel so you never hit a “pet too high” equip wall.
  • At 100+, add Infinite Tower farms for efficient XP/gear loops while still finishing World 10 quests toward Crystal Cascade.

Power level is not only the number next to your name — it is class tier + gear rarity + pet level + perk tuning. The embedded leveling video shows practical routes; match them to your current world instead of copying a max-level thumbnail blindly.

Phase 5 — Prestige Tier 5 and Mastery

Tier 5 (Warlord, Summoner, Shadowblade) arrives after prestige systems reset/reward late progression. Plan prestige when your gear and pets already support endgame towers; prestigging into a weak kit feels miserable.

Mastery classes are the real endgame identity chase:

  • Mage of Shadows (Mage of Light path)
  • Necromancer (Demon path)
  • Hunter (Spirit Archer path)
  • Stormcaller (Elementalist path)
  • Leviathan (Dragoon path)
  • Starbreaker (Guardian mastery — dual greatswords, added January 2026)

These need long clears (Infinite floors, Nightmare counts, high-level kill quotas). Use leveling phases above to reach the quest thresholds, then specialize. Roster details: Classes Overview.

XP multipliers you control without paying

  • Correct world band — biggest free multiplier.
  • AoE class for trash — more kills per minute.
  • Perk swap to mob profile — key 2 when configured.
  • Pet candy on the main — faster clears, faster looting.
  • Party synergy — pubs that stay together finish floors; leavers slow everyone.
  • Event dungeons — when live, event XP/currency can outpace stale towers; watch Updates.

Paid battle pass skips exist for players who want instant levels; this guide assumes legitimate grind first.

Sample daily XP block (mid-game)

  1. Redeem codes / claim login rewards.
  2. Finish any new world quests (15–20 min).
  3. Run 3–5 tower clears at your best efficient floor pace.
  4. Dump candy into pet; swap gear upgrades.
  5. If still short of a gate, add Infinite farm floors (once eligible) instead of replaying two-worlds-old dungeons.

Hit each tier gate on schedule, pivot to towers at World 5, and only then grind Mastery quotas. That is fast leveling in World // Zero without spammy filler farms.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers players ask every week.

What is the fastest way to level in World // Zero?

Clear current-world quests first, then spam on-level dungeons or World 5+ towers. Avoid farming content two worlds behind your level.

When should I unlock each class tier?

Tier 2 ~15, Tier 3 ~35, Tier 4 ~60, Tier 5 after prestige. Mastery classes unlock through long dedicated quests after you can clear high-level content.

Is Infinite Tower good for XP?

Yes once you are around level 100+. Use efficient farm floors for gear and XP; push deeper only when your class and pets still clear quickly.

Which class levels the fastest?

Whichever clears packs safely at your tier. Mid-game Spirit Archer and late Stormcaller/Necromancer are frequent XP farm recommendations — see Best Classes for caveats.

Do codes help leveling?

Codes mainly grant crystals and event currencies, not raw XP, but they fund cosmetics/QoL that keep you playing longer. Always redeem before a grind session.

Should I prestige as soon as possible?

Prestige when your gear, pets, and comfort with towers support the reset. Prestiging into outdated equipment slows total power even if the Tier 5 label looks cool.
